Pocono Joe's Patty

Impossible Meat Vegan Cheeseburgers

Prep Time: 15 min | Cook Time: 10 min | Serving Size: 6 people


  • 2 Impossible Meat™ packets (or plant-base equivalent)

  • 6 slices of Vegan Cheddar Cheese

  • 1 Yellow Onion

  • 1 Red Pepper

  • 1 Green Pepper

  • 2 Avocados

  • 6 Hamburger Buns

  • 1 tbsp of Olive Oil

Spices (optional):

  • Salt & Pepper

Additional Toppings:

  • Lettuce

  • Tomato

  • Onion

  • Pickles

  • Ketchup

  1. Chop up the peppers & onions. Heat up a skillet with the olive oil on medium heat, and add the peppers and onions. Cook for about 15 minutes, until slightly golden brown.

  2. Fire up the grill/stovetop

  3. Combine the Impossible Meat packets into a bowl. Using your hands, mix the meat together and form into round patties. You should be able to make 6 patties, each about 3”-4” in diameter and 1” thick.

  4. Place the patties on the grill. Cook on one side for 3-4 minutes, then flip.

  5. Cook for another 3 minutes and add the cheese on top of the burgers. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes. (This should have the burgers at a medium doneness→ with Impossible Meat™ you can actually cook to a rarity)

  6. Smash up the avocado and place on the bottom buns. Then place the burger & cheese. Top with onions and peppers, and finish with the top bun.

  7. Viola! Enjoy!
